Be aware of the river, it's not really dangerous because it's rover speed is quite low...
Swimming in the river and lakes is not really allowed, but as we won't expect thousands of swimrunners , nobody will care...
Swimrun in Speyer

Give us a brief description of the course and what you like about it.: It’s a flat one-way swimrun course with 9 swim and 10 run segments, totaling 23km run and 4km swim, starting at the historic dome of Speyer and from there north through all lakes along the route. The first swim segment goes through the yacht harbor Speyer, then directly followed by a swimming segment in the Rhine, Germanies largest river with a flow of up to 10m/sec. Each of the lakes is very unique. Between the lakes lots of trail running through forests and fields. The finish is at the train station Limburgerhof with a direct rail connection back to Speyer. Along the course are >10+ beer gardens.🍺
Any important details that swimrunners should know about?: Trin ticket back to Speyer is approx 4 Euros.
