Give us a brief description of the course and what you like about it.: We have a short, swimrun course that makes up the Catawba Swimrun. It consists of 6 swims and 7 runs per lap for a total of 3.34 miles of running and .53 miles of swimming. The long course race runs three laps of this course. All swimming is done in the Catawba river and the running on the trails of the US National Whitewater Center. Two runs is considered “off-trail” on the Sadler Island in the Catawba. Course on the island is marked with green and orange tape.

Any important details that swimrunners should know about?: There is a $6 parking fee to park at the Whitewater Center. There are numerous beers on tap at the beer garden, bike shop, outfitters store and restaurant. You can also find canned beer at the market (all onsite). There’s also numerous food options available too.

What is the total distance of your course?: 3.87 miles per lap, do as many laps as you want.
